We respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, how we handle information when you use petrolrates.co.uk.
The short version
You don't need an account to use this site, and we don't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. We don't sell or share information about you for advertising.
Information we use
When you search for fuel prices, we use the postcode, town or map location you enter to show you nearby stations. If you choose to share your current location, your browser asks your permission first, and we use it only to show stations near you.
Like most websites, our servers automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type and IP address. We use this only to run the site, keep it secure, and fix problems. It is kept for a short time and then deleted.
We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't identify you or track you across other websites.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are necessary for the site to work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Other services
We use trusted service providers to host and deliver the site. They only process information as needed to provide their service to us.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
